Meet Reshma, our Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance Manager. With over ten years of expertise in medical device quality assurance and regulatory affairs, she proudly calls herself the ringmaster, ensuring product safety and compliance throughout InterMed.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your role within InterMed?
I hail from a land of lush greenery, aromatic spices, and serene backwaters – Kerala, India! Whether sipping chai by the palm-fringed beaches or dancing in the monsoon rain, I’ve got that Kerala spirit in my veins. So, if you need a dash of coconut-infused enthusiasm, just call me your friendly Keralite! My professional background includes over ten years of work in the medical device quality assurance and regulatory affairs sector. Presently, I hold the position of Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs Manager at InterMed ANZ.
How long have you worked at InterMed?
Since March 2024.
What does a typical day as a RA/QA Manager look like?
As a QA/RA manager, my day is a dynamic blend of activities related to Quality System compliance, product registrations, regulatory remediations, customer centric activities, complaint handling, problem solving, continuous learning , collaborations etc…
In summary, a ringmaster ensuring product safety and compliance across the organisation.
What advice can you offer to other RA/QA managers who are just starting?
Build your expertise and embrace change. Change is the only constant.
What’s the best bit of advice you’ve ever been given?
All your dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue it. Believe in yourself.
Tell us about a professional success story that you’re proud of.
I have successfully led multiple integration projects within my previous roles, ensuring seamless transitions and alignment across teams. Notably, these projects were executed without any compliance or regulatory issues, demonstrating meticulous planning and execution.
What are your favourite things about working at InterMed?

What have been some of the most important lessons you’ve learned throughout your career?
Change remains the sole constant, and our ability to adapt determines success. Solving a puzzle has multiple paths; it’s about finding the one that aligns best with you and your team.
How do you like to spend your time when you aren’t working?
I enjoy spending time with my two little ones, keeping up with their tantrums, and when I finally succeed, I indulge in cooking.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I wish I could learn to swim so I could experience all the amazing beaches in Australia.
How do you define success?
Acknowledge and celebrate each accomplishment, recognising the positive influence you have on society and others’ well-being. Regardless of the outcome, take pride in contributing to the best of your abilities. Remember, success isn’t always about winning.
