What Is the National Breast Cancer Foundation?

Established in 1994, the National Breast Cancer Foundation is Australia’s leading not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving breast cancer detection, treatment, and support. Their vision is bold yet attainable: Zero Deaths from breast cancer. Together, we can work towards a future without fear of breast cancer.

Why Breast Cancer Awareness Matters

Every day, 58 people in Australia will hear the life-changing words, “You have breast cancer”. Early detection and treatment can save lives, but challenges remain. By supporting NBCF, we can contribute to research that brings hope and tangible help to patients and their families.

Milestones

Since their inception thirty years ago, NBCF has achieved remarkable milestones in breast cancer research. Fundraisers and supporters have helped raise around $200 million for nearly 600 world-class research projects focused on prevention, risk detection, new and improved treatments, and quality of life.

Advocating for Change

In addition to research, NBCF advocates for change through fundraising and public awareness campaigns. They strive to bring breast cancer to the forefront of public attention, emphasising the importance of research. You can support NBCF as a Pink Ribbon Partner with a monthly donation or participate in awareness campaigns such as the Pink Ribbon Breakfast and the Go Pink campaign every June.
